[Special commission for cellist Jeffrey Zielger]

I am grateful for American Composers Orchestra (ACO) for the leadership to carry on a special commission for me and a bunch of musicians and composers at this difficult time. Without an academic position, any given is a bless and encouragement. I am particularly happy to write for cello again. This time – for Jeffrey Zielger. Quite frankly, we didn’t know each other before being paired for this collaboration and we felt the connection once we hear each other’s work and met via the video chat.
